Roadmap

What we are building toward, and what has to be true first

Each theme lists what exists today and the evidence gate it must pass before VetIOS calls it active. There are no dates here: a theme advances when its evidence does. Live state and evidence are on the status page and the trust ledger.

Clinical reliability, slice by slice

IMPLEMENTED

Exists today: Published reliability thresholds and the machinery to evaluate each clinical slice (tenant, model version, species) against confirmed outcomes.

Evidence gate: A slice becomes VALIDATED_FOR_SLICE only with at least 200 confirmed outcomes, outcome coverage of at least 25%, a Brier score of at most 0.18, and calibration error of at most 0.08. Confirmed outcomes come from clinical design partners.

Independent clinical validation

PLANNED

Exists today: Reliability is evaluated internally today.

Evidence gate: An independent study, run by a party other than VetIOS, completes and is published.

Network learning across clinics

NO DATA

Exists today: A federation substrate, consent-scoped per clinic (network_learning). Learning today is tenant-local calibration only.

Evidence gate: At least two authorized clinics participate, and federation rounds complete successfully.

Population animal-health signals and AMR stewardship

NOT MEASURED

Exists today: Population-intelligence and antimicrobial-stewardship modules, which use only aggregates and only with each clinic's population_signal consent.

Evidence gate: Published aggregates require at least three contributing clinics. None contribute today.

Clinic-system integrations

SYNTHETICALLY TESTED

Exists today: Adapters for common practice-management and laboratory systems, tested with synthetic payloads.

Evidence gate: Per vendor: a recorded vendor authorization, then a verified production sync. Naming a vendor describes adapter compatibility only.

Partner API and products

Exists today: A versioned partner API at the canonical origin, with a generated OpenAPI contract and SDK.

Evidence gate: At least one API product is published and an authorized partner calls the API.

Model registry and public model cards

Exists today: A model registry and the model-card format.

Evidence gate: A production model is registered as champion, and its model card is published.

Edge deployment

Exists today: An edge node registry and sync protocol.

Evidence gate: At least one edge node is registered and online.

Independently anchored verification

OPERATIONAL

Exists today: A signed, public ProofLoop artifact and an offline verifier.

Evidence gate: The signing key fingerprint is recorded somewhere VetIOS cannot silently rewrite (a transparency log or a signed public release).
